Egon Schiele Birthplace

Since 16th June 2013 the original Tullner station apartment can be viewed by interested visitors. This gives the unique opportunity to visit the authentic place that played an important part in the first ten years of Schiele’s life. In a contemporary presentation of the design team Toikoi the history of the Schiele family is depicted using multiple media. The artist’s sheltered childhood is traced as well as the tragedy of the social descent which forced the syphilis-affected father in September 1904 to vacate the official residence of the Station Board.
